Hey,
I just got a 12 man Kifaru tipi. When you first get them you have to seal the seams. I set it up and got it done today. The video should give you an idea of just how big these things are.

That's a very cool tent for car camping. I had some friends who were doing the renaissance fair circuit years ago. They would stay several days at a time in huge canvas wall tents. They showed me the trick of lining the tent floor with rubber backed indoor/outdoor carpet. Not only protects the tent floor, but keeps it clean. If the carpet gets dirty, you just carry it outside and shake it out now and then. To clean it, you just clip it to the floor mat clips at the car wash and pressure spray it. I've done that ever since with my nylon car camping tent.

Recently I got another piece of that same carpeting to re-do the floor in my camper. This is the source: http://www.deanflooringco.com/servlet/Detail?no=1264 Very good quality stuff and not expensive. One piece wouldn't be large enough for your entire floor, but it might be nice under the cots to keep you up out of the dirt. It feels very civilized having a carpeted floor, like a comfy bedouin tent.

Thanks for the idea! That is great!

Normally, I would be hesitant to watch a video about a guy "pitching a tent," but fortunately this was about a guy setting up a tipi. :D
I look forward to seeing some video of it in use. Thanks AIG
