Kiffe Hunting Knife?

My son found this knife at a flea market, and I am struggling to find information on it. I have found that Kiffe made sporting goods and had a few government contracts for WWII and Korea. Most of what I have found, though states that the Kiffe knives were produced in Japan. This knife is clearly stamped Bolingen, Germany. It appears to be numbered 800/6, or perhaps an identification number 800/b? He paid $30 for it, which was more than resonable. It is solid with a leather stacked handle. Anyone know anything about these?

Also, we found a cool BSA Plume hatchet/knife combo. I think it was made 1922-1928, by the stamp on the hatchet. Both are in good condition, and sharp. My younger son thought it a prize at $50. Any info on these would be great.

I apologize for the links, I could not figure out how to just drop a picture in.

Kiffe was a knife importer active during the 1960s.In addition to knives made in the US they imported knives from Solingen Germany and Seki Japan. I am not sure if they actualy had US Govt contracts, maybe they did. I was under the impression that Kiffe knives ended up in war zones as personal PX purchases. I could be wrong.

You need to wrap the links in IMG tags to insert the pictures inline in the post.....
