Looks like this bayonet has lost the spacers or whatever between the leather washers and the guard. I would appreciate any advice on how to replace the missing piece without deconstructing the handle. would a "sandwich" of two leather or micarta halves epoxied together be strong enough? Or is there a better solution? I could cut leather washers in half, fit over tang and epoxy the sides together...maybe the same with micarta. orta be strong enuf bond to hold. or I could wrap an epoxy soaked paracord around the tang to fill the gap, then shape after it dries. Do any of you know how to remove the pommel?
