I just watched KILL BILL last night & saw that UMA Thurman was wearing a knife on her waist with a tie around her leg in the first fight with V. Fox..... is that a cold steel knife? WHich one?

Great movie! And MorrowJ is right, it's a SOG Desert Dagger. Why SOG chose to discontinue that knife after such prominent use in a high-profile movie is beyond me.

Because they suck. SOG has no sense at all and is turning into the premier mall ninja provider in my opinion.

It seems that everybody has had their dose of tacticool from time to time. I'm sure they'll keep producing good designs like the Spec Elite and the Fatcat.

The Desert Dagger was, IMHO One of the best designed production Dagger ever Made. And Yes, Like he said, WTF SOG Discontinued a Super awesome knife right after FREE advertizing in a Blockbuster movie Is Beyond me.
But SOG Does Lots of weird things, Like Making Great knife designs with Crappy Steel, and SUPER Crappy Sheaths. And Making other Decent Designs, But Writing "SOG" In Big ass Letters all over the knife, handle, and clip. And with the throwing Hawk, Cutting SOG Through the Blade??? Thats Retarded. Like Wearing a BIG XXX T-shirt when you're 120lbs that says TOMMY HILFIGER In Big red letters all over it. Dumb. Maybe Management changed to a bunch of young hip hoppers??
But that wouldn't explain the discontinued Desert Dagger? Or Would it:barf::confused:

I agree with stamping brand all over the knife and the sheath. Many knife manufacturers have lost me buying their knives because of the over the top markings in the blade, shealth, shealth snap button, handle and everything possible.. :barf:
