Chopped a bit of wood today with the Kill Devil. Although I don't consider the wrapped version to be a superb "woods hawk" because the thinness of the handle makes it a bit unwieldy for upcut chops, it does amazingly well after I nut up and just chop :D

Didn't get pics of that but pulled out a few pieces of metal downspouts to whack on...

Good times were had! Another thread on the 1311 coming.

Great pics man thanks for sharing!!!

The KDSH is a great hawk. And the "funnest" bussekin I own!

They are born to fly... throw that joker :)

Can you throw the kdsh with micarta handles as good as the handle less?
I want one but want to know the difference.

Get either one and throw that joker!!!

You wont hurt it, if you happened to break the handle it would be covered under warranty.

But if you want the cord wrapped version there are a couple on the exchange now that are cord wrapped version that are brand new and excellently priced... (not mine :D)... I think the cord wrapped were military over runs, they were D-Tested by Spec Ops Teams in Afghanistan. You can see the original thread here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...2012-Ordering-Procedures-Pictures-and-Pricing

Either one is sweet. I went with the cord wrapped because i liked the look better, but you will be happy with either. And your lucky right now you could get either for about the same price.... But the cord wrapped ones are not available from swamp rat anymore so you have to get it from the exchange, or other second hand sources.

They are sweet hawks.
