This may sound like dumb question, but is there any difference between the 2012 Ganzaaa Kill Devils and the ones currently being sold on the
Swamp Rat site? (Besides the price) Enquiring minds want to know. :D
 
does anybody read existing threads before starting new ones? I put up comparison pics less than a week ago.

Ganza hawks had no handles, and a few other minor differences.
The current offering has micarta or G10 handles and a slightly different spike at the bottom of the handle.

It really only boils down to the handle vs no handle debate. well, and price, I wish I'd have gotten into that ganza, what a value for the price.
 
I guess it isn't immediately obvious and definitely can't be assumed, but the release version of the Kill Devil Sniper hawk is the same as the version released at Blade 2012, the black one in my pics. The release Rattle Hawk is dramatically different from the proto shown at Blade 2011.

The main difference will be if you like cord wrap or want to add your own handles. The heads are identical, but the sheaths will not fit perfectly if they are based on the other type because the haft meets the head at a very slightly different place and slightly different angle.

A multifit could be made though if it was designed to fit both
