There have been several "how do I get rid of mice?" threads in past months. One of our sergeants is a gun collector, and he came in with one of these yesterday:
Curtesy of Dixie Gun Works, it's a .32 cal muzzle-loading black powder mouse gun. I imagine a .32 ball would work wonders on the little guys, or your cat, beagle, or big toe. Hopefully only a novelty item, but the one our guy brought in looked like it was functional!
