Killa Z pics and choppin review!

So I did a tiny bit of chopping in the back yard to test out my Killa Z.


There were some Aspen little logs and some hardwood ones as well.





After chopping the very first one, I noticed some edge deformity and rolling! I will have to take the rolls out, then I am going to convex the edge.

There must be something wrong with the heat treat on this one, because I chopped the same wood with my FBMLE and had no edge issues at all!

I am starting to think that the some one sold me a fake KillaZ. It came with a sheath, so that kind of should have been a heads up.

The finish seems a bit rough, and the handle is plastic. Why did they decide to make plastic handles on these?

can you tell which cuts were made by the convexed LE and which ragged cuts were made by the as yet factory edge machete?


I have some bushes I have to trim every once in a while, and the FBMLE just has too much mass for such light cutting, so I grabbed a machete.

I was scratching my head looking for the KZ somewhere hidden in those pics.

Needless to say I was totally fooled by your thread until the very end. I can't say it was a pleasant experience.
 
That FBMLE might be a fake too, better post it to me for inspection...

we are a tricky bunch. Besides, no one is supposed to post reviews or in use pics until December or something.



I only wish I had a Killa Z.

I will tell you what, you ship me a real Killa Z, and I will ship you that FBMLE, and then I will move, and change my name, and then grow a mustache, and then shave it off.

Did I mention that the Killa Z is on my list?

Me too, but a reasonably priced combat grade for me!

Much as I'd like a CG (especially if it has CBTs), I think I'll have to spring for an LE on this one.
