Some of you may remember me mentioning a POS tourist khukri I had. Well, I went out and did some chopping with it the other day, and discovered it had developed a pronounced wave to the spine. So I decided the time had come to "kill" it.
The act of ritually killing a blade was a (I believe) Norse custom. It involved bending the blade into unusable contorted shaped. I decided to take this custom and adapt it a bit. I mean, this khukri was a complete piece of crap ... but it hadn't injured me or really let me down. It functioned when called upon, and I knew enough not to ask more than it could take.
So my friends and I went out to our normal walking area. I beat the hell out of it, hitting large metal ties, attacking gravel, throwing it into concrete walls.
Then I let it get run over by a freight train.
Not finished yet. Any suggestions of what to do to it next would be welcome, keeping in mind I have a budget of zero.
