I picked her up Friday at camp.
She has been wanting to go deer hunting with me this fall. I have been hesitant to commit to it because of concern about her managing a rifle and handling recoil.
While at camp she went to the skeet range, where they were letting each camper try six clays. She has never attempted clay shooting before. So she takes the 20 gauge pump in her still somewhat impaired hands, shooting from the right with her nerve-damaged eye that was never supposed to effectively function again, and powders three of her six clays, including the first one she ever shot at.
So I am buying a .243 this week, and scheduling some range sessions. Seems she always runs ahead of what I think her capable of at any given time.
