Picked this little gem up at the Wolverine Knife Collector's Club Show in Michigan a couple weeks ago. No specs on it (maybe Kim will see this and fill us in on the steel...), but it's a sweet knife. Nice hollow grind, whitetail deer scales and nickle silver pins perfectly peened. The sheath is perfectly fitted leather with a dangler clip. I have never hunted a day in my life (shocking for someone in Michigan I know!), but I just couldn't stop picking this knife up when I was at Kim's table, so this is what I bought, for a cool $100. I passed up a $200 Strider SnG for this knife (didn't have the budget for both), so there must be something really special about this knife! :D

I like it! That's right up my alley. Great buy chiro. ;)

Looks good. Of course it should; he's seen, held and tested enough knives to know what works. :)

Kim makes a wide variety of knives. He had a bunch of show knives that were little compound grind tantos in thick steel (I think Tmac bought one). Cheap, but cool. He had some Dozier-style knives that were great (Mudbone did a fantastic job selling those for him!), and a bunch of the forged bowies that he and Gary do together that were incredible. One was a san mai with damascus on the outer layers and it was wicked! Couple of folders, too. It's cool to see user stuff and high-end stuff from the same makers.

scary spec ops guys

Kim is the least scary, nicest and friendliest guy I've met in a long time. That doesn't mean he couldn't kill me in several different ways, but talk about someone who is humble and doesn't have that "I'm a badass, look at me, Signor Badass!" attitude. Very refreshing.

Just crackin a joke. His article is one of the first I go to every month I get Blade, usually either after or before Ed's article. I bought my SOG Trident TF2 because of his article.

$100 for that ! You have to be kidding. Talk about a good deal. Of course, I haven't been able to handle Mr Breed's knives closeup but the fit and finish and materials on that look almost too good to cost that much (little...) And sheath as well.

Yeah, when I get my monthly ration of Blade amagzine, his article is one of those read first if I don't have time to finish the whole mag at once. Very nice work. Jason.

Jason, Kim definitely hooked me up on this one. For some reason he seems to like me and has taken me under his wing a little bit with the knifemaking, so I think I got the "good buddy" discount! I don't think you can go wrong with one of Kim's knives, to be honest. I'd recommend getting one of the Dozier style "beaters" and one of his bowies, then you'd be set! I still need a Chris Crawford EDC folder, one of your knives, Jason, an SnG, one of Burch's tantos. Sheesh! I better start grinding some more! :D
