I have some extra cash burning a hole, and I've been thinking of a Kimber Pro Carry II. I have read mixed feelings about them on another forum that I frequent, but I want to know what the BFC guys think about this gun. I plan to order one Monday morning, so any of you that have experiences with this model, lets hear about them.

get a H&K or a glock. i lik H&K better but go to a local range/gun store and try out the gun before you guy it

if you have a lot of money look into a Desert Eagle in .50AE it is VERY fun :D :D :D :D :D :D

I've had a pile of guns over the years. Bought and sold probabaly several dozen, anyway. The one I miss the most is a Kimber Custom Eclipse that I had to sell for cash to give to the Vet for my dogs expensive operation. Beautiful gun in all respects. You can't go wrong with a Kimber.

My brother and I both EDC a Kimber Ultra CDP 2. We have both put over 1000 rds through ours with 0 problems. I was worried also because of what I had read about that darn Swarze (or however it is spelled) saftey. Neither of ours has had any jambs, or failure of any sort. I would advise that if you like the 1911, the Kimber is a great choice. Also check out the Springfield loaded series. They are great also. I have a Springfield race gun and it is great also. Both companies are great gunmakers. I think that for the money you can get more gun for the dollar from Springfield. If cost is a factor.
Here are the only two 1911's that I own and carry. One for CCW and the other for in the field carry. Get one! You will not regret it. ;)

spyder8- Thanks for the recommendations, they are fine guns, but I already have a few glocks, and an HK. However, I don't have a Desert Ugly, and I may have to put one of those on my future purchase list in .44Mag. :D

ADBF and AA, thanks for letting me know about your experiences with the Kimber. I have decided to go ahead, and order a Pro Carry II with night sights first thing Monday morning. You are right about the Springers, and I have a few of those as well, and I am very pleased with them. I've just never owned a Kimber, and I think the Pro Carry may end up being my EDC gun.

I love the Kimbers. If you like 1911s, they are the best noncustomized thing out there. Too bad you can't buy them where I live.
