Kind of a gadget, looking for a keyring.

I see pics of a keyring that looks like a flexible cable with ends that lock together. ANyone know where I can find these? Thanks!

Do these things have a tendency to twist apart when you're not expecting it or do they stay until you want it to come apart?

You have to twist them into a figure 8 to unlock them. I've never had one accidently undo but you can crimp them to permanently close them.

I love these things. Virtually every keyring I have has these.

My EDC tools are bound by one:

The biggest plus, is that they are flexible.

These cable type keychains are a buck a piece at my local locksmith. I use em and like em. They're much more comfortable in the pocket than a large split ring. I tested one to failure and it took quite a bit of force (two hands pulling it apart) before it broke. In the end, it wasn't the actual 'lock' that broke, the cable simply pulled out of the crimp. I was actually able to put the cable back in and recrimp it. So don't worry about them just coming apart.

One version is called Twisty. Another is called Flx-O-Loc (no typo - that's how it is spelled). They are made by Lucky Line. One place you can find them is here.

I have been using the Flx-O-Loc. I have several. They work wonderfully.

I am in need of a good keyring setup....growing tired of the caribiner....:(
