Kind of neat on the neck knife...

Well, I just got my Becker Necker today, and it is--as everyone has said--a great little knife. Bigger than I though it'd be, but this only makes it so that it's more useable than most neckers I've seen.

I'm considering a cord wrap, but discovered something kind of neat. There is JUST enough room for the first joint of my index finger in the front handle whole if I do some twisting, and that puts it in the right position for the back of the handle to tuck into my palm. I couldn't resist, and went outside to an old fencepost (that doesn't currently have a fence attached) and gave it my best push-dagger punch. Sunk in about an inch. Probably could do more, but it is a tad tight and I don't think my finger would have appreciated it. Still, neat to have the option should the need ever arise to drive it through something--certainly no danger of slipping onto the blade that way!

For all I know, this was an intentional design feature that has been discussed on here, and I've just missed it, but if not, there you are. If so, well done! :D

I doubt that grip was intended, but it is an interesting discovery.

I haven't handled one yet, but it looks to me like the index finger indentation is deep enough to support a full-power thrust even in a normal grip.

Oh I think it probably is too, but this is one of those knives that's just 'fun' somehow, and playing around with it just comes naturally. :D
