I am looking for a source site to research and buy a Kindal Tonneau folding knife with a corkscrew. This knife most likely will have been made by the father of H. Kindal in Paris. Any directive help will be appreciated. Joel

Sounds like a Laguiole knife to me. Lots of fine makers represented in that area of the France.

Is this an antique you are looking to find, or a current maker? Have you looked at http://www.cutlerytogo.com/ yet? Very large selection of similar, if not the same. Look under the first button on the menu.

Those are antiques, I believe. Kindal still has a shop Avenue de l'Opera in Paris, but I don't think they make knives anymore.

Please , Try here :

Then click on "exclusif Kindal" in the golden line , you 'll see some 'tonneau ' knives.

And drop them an e-mail asking if they have one tonneau with corkscrew.

Actually, I happen to have one of those knives. It is about 3.5 inches long, has two identical silver-plated blades on one side and a corkscrew on the other. The case is mother-of-pearl and it comes in a moleskin leather pouch with hinged metal snap closure. It belonged to my great-grandfather and so is about a hundred years old.
