If my search fu is weak, please point me in the right direction.

I have a new kindle Fire and need to find a case for it. I see a lot of cheap #$@ for sale for ~$30. What I'm looking for is something like an OtterBox, Pelican, or Hardigg StormCase. What have you found that works well?

I would consider a nice leather "dust jacket" style case too if they were priced reasonably and not just a throw away plastic piece of junk.

TIA,
Sid

I have been buying leather covers from Oberon Design for my eReader and for gifts to others. They make heavy tooled leather covers for your portable devices as well as folios, etc. Pricing is fair considering heavy leather and USA worksmanship.

They make a large selection of designs in a variety of colors so you can really pick something unique for yourself.

I just bought this to go with the Kindle Fire I gave my sister for Xmas. $70

I have not used one of those in particualr, but every Pelican product I've come in contact with has been excellent. I'm sree you'll be happy with it.

My wife bought a Book Armor Shield Custom Fit off of Ebay for 35 bucks. Its nice. I tried to get her to buy the pelican case but she was having none of my hard coreness.

Wow, I like this case, but $70 is too expensive...

I bought the medium gadget sleeve from Saddleback leather. Protects with style and class.

If the Pelican case doesn't come back into stock at Amazon soon, I think I'll try the Saddleback Leather gadget sleeve. It looks pretty nice on their website.

I just made this one for a iPad, pretty simple design but really nice leather. Sure to be a chick magnet.:D

I went with this one from Amazon made my Mareware. Its definately not an otterbox, but I'm happy with it. Basic light impact and scratch protection, but my kindle primarily sees life via the laptop pocket in my messeger bag which I carry on the truck at work. Not the hardest life so far but it has its moments. Again not an otterbox, which I might upgrade to later, but its pretty nice. Very convient and quick to use and the stand feature is very handy. 1.75 thumbs up (doesnt offer any significant fluid protection).
