King Bell Straight Razor - is This Real Damascus or Etched?

Greetings folks- Just picked up a new straight razor (King Bell is the manufacturer). It appears to be made from damascus.

Just wondering if there's anyone around who knows a bit more about damascus who can tell me if this is real damascus or just etched on the blade.

Thanks!

Does the pattern appear logical? I.e. maintains continuity through the curves and grinds?

It maintains continuity through the handle part of the balde where you grip it for shaving, but the actual blade doesn't have the damascus pattern. For it to be real damascus, must the pattern cover the entire blade? If so, that answers my question.

i only lightly etch the blade but the tang i like a good deep etch/ texture also at the near edge i dont etch at all. so mayeb they only etch the spine. how deep is the grooving ?
