I've been wanting to, and finally got around to it. For me, it improves the fine work with the already handy nine. You can choke up and get in there close now.

just couldnt wait until the 10 arrived you just had to choil sumtin huh? looks good, but on a blade that BIG you should have 4 choils so you can fully choke up :D
 
How do you find it works? I have a choil on my 7 and can't even imagine controlling it with another 2 inches of metal on the end. Looks handsome though guy.
 
It actually works like a charm. I cut some trap triggers and notches before it got dark. Makes it a hell of an all around knife now.
I used a rotary stone in a drill press on fairly low speed, then wrapped some 600 paper around a dowell to soften it a little. Oh, and I had a dandy fat copperhead three feet from the door on the way back in the house..
I hate to kill snakes, but he was particularly pissy acting. Slung him in the yard and Mrs. T handed me out the Ruger. Oh well.
