HOLY (EXPLETIVE)!!!! Kershaw has got to be losing money on this one!!! The story goes like this; Recently did a return at Wal-mart (without a receipt) and was presented with a $20 dollar gift card... Went to the "sporting goods" section (lol) and saw quite a collection of folders there. In the Kershaw section I saw a; Needs Work, a Blur, a serrated-tanto something, a $50 dollar leek, a Select Fire, and the fabled Crown. Heard both yay/nay about the Crown, and I knew that they were going for $10 bucks during Christmas, but at the moment were $15, I couldn't resist!!! So I picked it up, and wasn't even to my truck yet, and was...BLOWN AWAY!!!! This thing is AMAZING!!! Super solid feel, fantastic lockup, outstanding factory edge(stropped it with green paste and it pops hairs). Mebbe I just got a perfect example of what the Crown was supposed to be, but I am very satisfied with my purchase! Even at $15 dollars! Even moar so that I know it was $10 for a bit. Keep up the good work Kershaw!!!* APPLAUSE*

+1 ^^

I love my Crown. Like you, I had paid $15 too, but still, probably the easiet $15 dollars laid down for such an awesome little knife ever. :D

Haven't handled a Crown yet. This post makes me want to go buy one now. :)

Totally worth it, I have both blue and black, I got outstanding products for $10 a pop! Best $10 knife I've ever handled. Hands down.

I have one of those little things. The first few times I flipped it open the thumbstud cover fell off. Still has a nice shape to the blade and fits the hand well although it's a bit small for my hand.

I got a few for gifts for Christmas, and only managed to give away two! Have a blue and a black in the EDC rotation and a black in the collection. Fantastic for the $10 each that I paid!

lol, Kershaw is still making money off of that. The knife only has an MSRP $30, so $15 is not really that low. But still, it is a great knife.

I got two Black handled Crowns for $10.00 each. I would love a blue one. Were did you find the blue handled Kershaw Crown?

I bought one of these from walmart a few months back and it's definetly more than i expected from a 10 dollar knife. A little heavy for it's size but i definetly recomend it.

I'm glad you are pleased with it!

I would pay double for one made in USA, but my guess it would cost more than double.
the only made in china knife I own is a TI boker subcom, I think the first knife I ever bought.

I also managed to snag both a black and a blue one for $10 around Christmas. Still an excellent deal at $15!

I felt the same way about the Crown. I actually created a thread "Reclaiming the Crown", where I spoke my mind about it and asked others what their opinions were on the knife. There's also a few pictures and all that good stuff. I got the Wally World blue one, but I did have to search through about 20 of them to find one where the bolsters were not seperating. There were probably about...3-4 out of 20 that didn't have the problem and looked perfect. The others all had the problem with one of the bolsters starting to seperate from the liners. What's odd is, it was the same side of the knife on all of the knives. Maybe Thomas or someone can jump in and explain it, because I didn't see any obvious reason why it was like that. It's the bolster on the side with the pocket clip and head of the pivot screw.

I am VERY happy with mine aswell. I've actually been EDCing it to work lately, due to the enviroment I'm currently in. I paid the $15 bucks too and never looked back or regret it. Also, don't know if anyone knows this, but these Crowns are so smooth you can actually "flick" the blade out with the thumbstud. No blade play, perfectly centered.
