You all know what I mean. The blades that talk, but just don't have the walk. Anyone have any nominations for a blade that turned out NOT to be all it was cracked up to be? Be kind

It's only a mistake if you fail to learn from it!

This definitely has the potential for starting another series of squables. But I think I'll throw the first stone in the hopes knife makers will not make the same "mistakes".

The one and only knife that I was disappointed with was the original Buck Nighthawk. I love virtually all of the Buck knives I've ever used, but this one just did not float-my-boat. I remember the design was supposed to be a do-all "survival" knife that Buck submitted to the Navy SEALs (though I think the submitted test knife used 154CM? instead of regular 420HC). The mass marketed version I felt was too thick and bulky, came with an inferior sheath, did not hold a very good edge, and the handle did not feel right - especially when wet.
I feel that the nighthawk is the ONLY "bad" Buck knife (that I have) in an otherwise awesome series of affordable working knives. This is my own opinion so please no flames
