Has anyone been to the King of Prussia gunshow (4 per year-700 open tables) specifically for knives? I went to a local knifeshow this summer and have been to local gunshows (Reading) and was disappointed at the selection.

I go regularly. It's usually very well stocked with knife vendors--there are one or two knife specialists there with a pretty broad selection of Benchmades and Spydies and Kershaws, solid production stuff, one fellow who is usually there with some Chris Reeve in addition to the above, and lately I see a nice selection of Striders-- although the name of the vendor escapes me. There's also usually a guy called Knifeman present who has a selection of quality pre owned and collectible stuff, plus several vendors with good selections of older bayonets, classic folders, mil-knife and sword stuff.

There's also several others scattered about who usually have some nice stuff in addition to the usual flea market level knockoffs, and a good selection of quality flashlights, Pelican type cases, books, and of course guns guns guns--it's a very solid show.

Just prior to the KoP show there is an even larger show in Harrisburg, IIRC next weekend, held at the Farm Complex. Many of these same vendors are there, plus a few more. Worth the trip--I'd guess this is the largest gun show in the area, although the KoP show is also really worth the effort, too. Plus, depending on where you live, both Basspro and Cabelas are sort of on the way to or from Harrisburg, and both are worth a trip every now and then.

There are shows in Allentown, too, although I haven't been to one in a few years. Check out a site called Gunshows-usa.com for show dates.

Also, if you hunt or fish or just love the outdoors lifestyle, there's a monster show in Harrisburg in February, a week plus of hundreds of vendors, exhibits, events, just great stuff. Really brightens up the winter blues
