sadly, it's 3cr13 steel, I'd gladly pay 50% more for standard 420hc
Buck seems to have removed any mention of it from their website (which is okay since it's a special & very low cost steel)
I guess I'm just lamenting that they didn't use 420hc
(and I know I could always get a 112LT or vantage ... which I would do if I needed another Buck... I was just thinking of it from the perspective of introducing non-knife people to the brand Buck, and having to explain why the quality on the Kingsman is not typical for them)
