Were the Kingston four blade military scout knives, civilian catalog number K-4611 given a military designation? I know that the all stainless knives of the same configuration that Imperial (and others) made later on were all designated Mil-K 818, but there are variations designated by letters A through D. Any one know which changes are designated by each letter? Thanks!

Thanks for the link, Codger! Great stuff from a world gone by. I picked up one of the Kingston knives recently , after visiting the grave of a relative at long last at the American cemetery in Normandy.
