The more i see many different makers coming out with their own Kiradashi the more i really cringe.

For a hunk of steel no bigger than your fingers usually makers are charging up to $200. I know it's not my money & i know that i'm not a maker, but that is pretty out there.

The people that buy kiradashis how do you justify paying such a huge amount of money for something that has no special mechanism, or handle materials. it's basically just a skeletonized knife.

i look forward to hear your thoughts

Whaddaya mean "no handle material"? Many makers will wrap them with paracord for an extra $50 or so... ;)

They're wood carving knives, if I remember correctly. They're pretty pricey for wood carving knives if you ask me though.

Besides their use with wood they would probably be a good little edc knife like a skein dubh.

yeah but a $200 knife for carving wood there must be something better out there. Mora could probably make a kiradashi much cheaper imo

Check out the CS Brave Heart for a modern sgain dubh...
