Personally I think thats a great deal for a handmade knife like that....
As long as shipping isn't too expensive,, if I was in the market for one, I'd buy it..

It's a nice little knife..

May ask him to wrap the handle in something though..

isn't that just a line scriber, thats what the bottom picture showed anyways, I believe the top picture is just a view of the handle. I suppose you could use it for carving but $120 for a scriber seems expensive, I know Garrett Wade Tools sells very similar styled knifes, for marking lines, for $30
 
Not sure about that one, does seem high for a scribe but I do like his Higonokami knives for the prices he has.

It seems like the kiridashi would be a good knife for lots of utility work, and not just in the wood shop. I like the chisel grind, and the japanwoodworker site offers some very niice blue steel pieces.
