Kirinite and finding kirinite blocks

Hello all. I'm trying to find out some information about Kirinite (like resilience, dropability, etc) for a glow in the dark, non knife related project. I'm looking to take a block about 1.25" x 2.25" x 5.25", hollow it out to about 1/8" thick on the outer walls, with a 1/2" section straight down the middle of material connecting them, and still have the ability to take a drop to the concrete from 5' without breaking/shattering.

Think about it as a kirinite holder for 2 large batteries, each with their own section. Would kirinite work well for this?
If not Kirinite, is there another material that would be good for this?

Also, is there anyplace that I can get blocks of Kirinite at least 1.25" thick? I've been searching the web for days and can only find scales up to 0.25" thick (especially in the glow in the dark type).

I apologize if this was placed in the wrong section (as I couldn't find any spot for materials discussions). Moderators, please move to the correct section if needed.

Even if you don't have a place that you know sells kirinite blocks, do you know the best places for kirinite? I can call about the blocks part myself, I just need some good starting points.

I have bought some Kirinite from USAknifmaker.com I think I've only seen scales there tho. And the prices have been increasing some since I bought mine.

Just out of curiosity, and if you don't mind me asking, what are you building with it?
