KIRINITE Question

Anybody have any experience with Kirinite scales? How's the grip? How is it to work with. Thinking of possibly, maybe, might, on-the-fence about, making a set of tweener scales with it.
 
Never worked with kirinite, that stuff it way too flashy for me. My guess though is it wouldn't be far off from grinding G-10.
