So I got home this eve and there was a package I didn't order ;)

Opened it up and it had a vintage copy of Camping and Woodcraft by Kephart!

Wondered how it came to me and then found something stuck under the back cover "Merry Christmas from Kismet" Very cool! Thanks Kis!

yes. yes I am. Modest too. Also handsome. And Charming. I look good in anything. My movements are those of a panther, my aura that of an earth-bound god. Rooms quiet in spell-bound admiration when I enter.

It is frequently a burden, but...one I must bear. Ah well.

(besides, he started it with the fishnet stockings.)

You forgot to mention the virgins that sacrafise themselves to the altar of your manhood.

ah Munk.

A gentleman never speaks of such.

Most particularly when it doesn't happen. :grumpy:

Kismet is good people
That goes without saying.

Kismet is also a very good friend and a real asset to this forum as well as one helluva knife designer.:D

But Kismet also becomes full of sheit when he's given a compliment and tries to deny his goodness as a man. :p ;)

But I'm proud he calls me, "friend" anyway.:D

When I read Kismet's posts, I can't help but think of the hypocratic oath, (?) or at least the Physcian's code: "Do No Harm."
It is about as high a compliment as I can give.
It reminds me also of when I worked in mental health, and a priority was to leave the client as least as intact after intervention as he'd been upon arrival. If you break down the ego you have a moral obligation to help reassemble it. Kismet knows this in everything he does.

To tell the truth, so does Yvsa, though he has a bit more grit!!!

What munk said:D

Kis is one of those "warm fuzzies" kind of guys. Chalk full of wisdom and social grace. He's the kind of guy that never has to raise his voice in the Cantina. His friendly yet graceful posts command the respect of those who read them. Not because they are intemidating, but because you get the feeling that you will always come out better than you were before for reading it. He plays it down, but he has to know it's true;) There should be more Kismets in the world.

Jake

Are we speaking of the same Kismet who posts on this forum??

If so, then I would have to agree with all of the kind words spoken on his behalf.

:D

His taste in motorcycle coloration is a little bizarre, but we'll keep him.

Sometimes I have strayed a bit from the path of kindness. Kismet has been known to quietly nudge me in the right direction.

Your ears burning yet Kismet? That's what you get for being such a damned nice guy all the time! Not that I would know what that's like. ;)

Sitting here trying to think of how to describe Kismet.

Yawn, keep nodding off - maybe in the morning. ;)

I was gonna bribe someone to start a "Bruise is gooder than Kismet-like people" thread. I got seventeen cents cash for the guy who does (you pay shipping) .
