recently i picked up a kissing crane mini trapper model kc9219. beautiful knife but i'm curious where it was made, anybody know. please don't say china or i may kill myself. i know they were made in germany several years ago. thanks for your time, ahgar
soon to be killing myself.

believe me i looked it over very well before buying and couldn't find the dreaded c word anywhere. really pretty little knife with rams horn scales. well i can live with italy but i'm going to go look for some rope cause it'll probably be china. anybody remember how to tie a hangmans noose?

China / Germany. German parts (could just be the shield ) assembled in China and imported to the USA. Selling on Ebay for about 12 bucks. Use the rope as a reminder.

if it's a good solid knife who care where it's made??? as long as it's quality and not made from lead ( as many things from China a) I don't own one but I've handle many China made buck knives and they are just as good as thier us counterpart...if you want to buy only us that's toptally understandable but if you're willing to settle for something from another country, than as long as you're happy with the quality than enjoy it but that's just me

thanks for the help, that's what i figured. good point rescueriley and mckgreg. I guess i better get over my china phobia since just about everything is going to be made there pretty soon. thanks guys.

Knives are the only part of my day-to-day stuff where I just won't do China. I like my slippies make in the U.S., Germany or Switzerland, period! :grumpy: (Ok, I might someday pick up a French-made Opinel or a Laguiole like this baby.)

I have a kissing crane mini trapper. I'm not sure where it was made but it is one of the better made knives of my collection. And one of the least expensive. Just enjoy it and don't worry about where it came from.
