Beware of the tip, it bends easy. However it won't break. Don't throw it into the floor, the weight of the handle is enough to bend the tip. The back spring is carbon steel and can rust, so keep it oiled. Steel is soft and will take a good edge, just won't hold it long. It's worth the money. Since it's got "stilleto" etched on the blade, don't get caught with it by a cop. It's a great office knife for everything from cake (long blade) to apples and letters.
