I've been looking into a kit knife but I really dont know where to start or even if it a good idea. Some questions I have are, what are some good makers (i.e. the best steel/heat treat), is it very difficult to put handles on them and would I just be better off buying something like an ontario bagwell or svord von tempski? Also I live in an apartment and dont have power tools.
