I have been working feverishly all day yesterday and today, and I have completed a NEW tutorial on finishing kit knives. It is pretty comprehensive, and it is long. I haven't photographed my latest projects yet, but there are some classics there all the same. If you are thinking about making a full-tang kit knife, you must read this resource. I would charge for it if I could figure out how!

Just follow the link below and look for "Kit Knife Tutorial" on the navigation bar. If you don't like frames, click below:

Lemme know what you think of it! Also, no commercial content....I'm not selling anything.

Very nicely done, Steve! I`d like to print that sucker out for futute reference. Would you mind?

PS-I wish you were still making sheaths!

very nice job Chiro. Thanks

One suggestion-I save the plastic tops from coffee cans-good for mixing the epoxy.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Chiro,

Same as I have posted on another similar thread of yours, this tutorial really helps a lot, specially in building self-confidence (for me, since I'm just about to start with a knife kit given to me by Brian C.)

I'll follow it to the letter. Thanks!

Dan

Thanks for the encouragement, fellas. It was a lot of work, and I need to add a bunch more pictures. I hope the instructions make sense. They do to me, but then again I already know what to do, so if there is anything on there that is fuzzy, please email me and I'll clarify what I wrote. What I really need is access to a digital camera for a few hours. I could have all the pics of my knives, my Kydex sheath process, and the kit knife process fully recorded...I can always dream!

Anyway, like I said, if you are about to embark on a project and there is something unclear, feel free to email me.
