I must own this baby!
kr3.jpg

the site is at http://www.knifeoutlet.com/catalog/Fantasy_Knives/KR3.htm

Who wants to buy it fer me on my birthday? :D

I like this one better than most of the fantasy blades that I see, but this is a part of knife collecting that I am not into at all. I know that it is hugely popular, but they sure aren't for me.

I think the thing most people have against pieces like that is the die-cast, CNC machined nature of the beast.

For some reason the first two pictures aren't showing up.

If you right-click on them and select "Show Picture" (at least in Internet Explorer), they will then appear.

Gabe,

Those make my heart hurt...lol In a nice way. You are building quite a collection. Congrats.

Oh. Those four aren't mine. I thought having some examples of custom fantasy knives would be useful.

I've tried to track down Voodoo Child (the fourth one by John Louis Jensen) a couple of times without luck.

John Lewis:) Jensen makes some of the most awesome wicked art pieces around. I got to visit his shop two years ago. I will never forget the pile of broken jewlers saw blades by his bench!

I got to inspect and handle severasl of John's knives at the NY Custom Knife show back in the Spring...They are amazing! He selects really marvelous materials for his knives. There's so much going on in the embellishment department you don't know where to look first, and it's all done so well. His time spent at the Rhode Island School for Design is more than evident in his work.

Nice write-up by John about anodizing in the new David Darom book devoted to Art Folders.

BTW- John's fiance was "manning" the table at the time...not too shabby either :p ;)

There's nothing wrong with an honest opinion that simple courtesy couldn't improve on.

If we didn't all have different tastes, we'd still be using sharpened sticks to fight off the neighbor's kids.
