I often see sheaths with pouches connected to them. A lot of them are very cool and look very useful. I was hoping that folks would/could post pics of their different setups for Kit Sheaths and info pertaining to maker and materials. It could be built in pouches or after-market. I just think that it would be great to see the diversity people have accomplished.

Thanks, Mike

I have two of the Spec-Ops Survival Sheaths, one of which I slightly changed to meet my tastes for a SOG Recon Bowie. It's ok. I have yet to use it for more than just trying it out. I think it was more of an impulse buy than anything else. I still prefer having my kit seperate from my sheath. After trying several setups with knives, sheaths and pouches, I've discovered that I would rather have a lightweight sheath on my side and my kit seperate in a pocket or in my pack. Usually in my pack.
I removed some pieces, melted some threads, molded the plastic inserts, etc. It turned out pretty cool. I also have a black one that I haven't messed with yet. I didn't care for the retention strap with the snap. Once the plastic was molded, there was no need for it. It was rubbish anyway.
