It's lovely to hear everyone's story on the picnic. I went old school with a red wine and a simple cheese board.

I wonder what kind of kitchen gadget would you bring to the office?

Melitta #2 pour-over single-cup cone filter, for making coffee one cup at a time using my own grounds and hot water, rather than using the company-provided stuff.

Depending on where you work, these days taking cutlery to an office is generally not allowed.

An electric kettle -- the kind that has a base connected by a cord to an outlet. A circular plug in the base mates with the kettle when the latter is placed on the former. So, you want some hot water for tea, press the lever down, wait until it bubbles and clicks, lift off the kettle. There's no danger of misjudging the length of the cord and spilling boiling water.
