I want to make a few kitchen knife sets for my family next Christmas. They're going to beat these knives like nuts, and they'll see the dishwasher. So I'm looking for stainless blades. Anybody know which blades available are good stainless? Anybody know of 12C27 stainless blades for sale?

Andy, I've bought blades from both JantzSupply and Texax Knife Supply. Both good to deal with. I especially like the Competition Cookoff Chef's blade (8.25 in. blade). I've made a bunch of those for people, and use it quite a bit myself.

Thanks bro! I'll check them out.

If anyone has other sources, I'd be interested in hearing about them. Always looking for new kitchen knife styles...

Thanks.

Andy,Aardvark beat me to it. (Crafty fellow) I was just there looking for butt caps.(They didn't have any.

They have a good supply in both stainless and carbon.

Very interesting patterns.

That's pretty good. Make sure you use a really heat/water resistant adhesive. I probably don't need to tell you natural wood isn't a good idea either. Dishwashers are famous for destroying knives of any kind. My favorite is how they put rust spots on stainless steel.
Good luck

George will sell ground, hardened and cryo-quenched blanks in 440C. Also black micarta scales and s/s pins for the handle if required.
