Here's a kitchen knife that I just finished. I wanted to try something a little different with the handle. I like the way it turned out. What do you guys think? Thanks for looking

this knife has a lot of class. A set of kitchen knives with these matching handles would be very nice in the kitchen:thumbup:
Funky stuff, going on in Seattle...

Looks very classy! I would like to see a full Satin finish for less cutting resistance but the current finish has a lot of character. Nice work and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one

I really like it. Its got a pretty traditionall shape, but the handle makes it look very sophisticated. how thick and how hard is it?

Great knife, Mike, but you're a little bit crazy to tackle CPM-M4, especially in a kitchen knife. The toughest steel ever made. I have three billets and am intimidated about working with it. That has to be one hell of a knife.

Good looking knife Mike. It looks nice and thin. The way it should be. Striking handle.

Wow, that would chop some Veggies. I would like to have one like it about 10 inches over all, with a 6" blade.

Hey Guys. Thanks for all the good stuff you said.
Hi Jerry, missed you in Atlanta this year, sorry about that. No Sushi this year. What a bummer. The steel is a bit hard to grind but OH! what a blade it makes. It Rocks about 63. This is the second I've made with the steel and for a kitchen knife I'm sold on it. The edge is zero ground and holds an edge for ever. Slight exaggeration.
Perfesser. The blade length is just over 6" the handle is 4 3/4" It's .070 thick
Xtestifyx. The first one I made was satin finished. Don't think I'll be doing that again.
I thought S30V was bad. Can't hold a candle to this stuff.
Lorien. I was thinking of the same thing after I finished this one. A couple of working ones, a paring knife. I think maybe a steak set would look cool.
Gthouse. I think I can see right where this would sit in your kitchen.

Thanks again guys

Michael

Hey Mike, nice knife! I still have that M4 you gave me a while ago. I'm kind of scared to use it now.:D

Looks good Michael. I've been wanting to try M4 ever since I saw how it performs in the Blade Sports cutting contests.

I like it but I'd be worried the square profile handle would get uncomfortable over time. I'd rather get something octogonal.

what would something like that go for ? (cost wise) ive been looking around for someone to make me a match set 1 chefs knife and a clever ! but dont know where to post my inquiry ?

you sir make a awesone knife !!!
