Guy at work asked if I could sharpen a knife for him. He will reward me with a 12pk of some tasty IPA's.
So here's what I started with. Dull like a butter knife.

After 320 Shapton stone

After 4K Shapton at 18*

He said do whatever you want with it...Ok, so I did. Buffed the flats to give it rustic look.

Added some jimping

Added a small choil

Made a sheath from cardboard and duct tape just to transport without issue

From average looking but useless knife shaped object to a post-apocalyptic culinary vorpal sword. snicker-snack!

nice edge, I think we need an overall shot with all the mods now.

I have a habit of putting new handles on most of my full tang kitchen knives. Here is a group shot of some early work. The top knife had some work done to drop the tip as well.

This knife also had the tip dropped slightly to give it a more Japanese profile. This was a blank that came without handle scales. This is done in Teal Kirinite, now my favorite color kirinite.

Very Nice sharpening job. Don't care for the buffing choil though.
