This set of knives will have 5 pieces. Until now i finished two.

Böhler N690Co steel, 61 Hrc, merbau handle with stainless accesories.
Blades dimensions: 3x28x100 mm, and 3x29x140 mm, both with 110 mm handles.My wife participate in project evaluation, and have some specific ideas about dimensions, handles orientation etc.I make it all as she wish.
Next week i hope to finish the other tree knives of this set.
I make some mistakes, for example i use 3,1 mm drill instead 3mm drill, to make the bolster pin holes, and now the pins are to vizible.:mad:

Is there a translation to " merbau" wood ? Are the white specks in the wood polishing material ? Has the wood any finish ?

Is not a spectacular looking wood, but is nice, mostley homogen looking colour, its look like oak maybe.The true is that are more tipes of merbau, different colours and fiberlines.I have 2-3 tipes of it, this is more simply on image.
