I use my BK2 in the kitchen alot, and now that I have my hand back, just gripping that chunk of awesomeness, it physical therapy. My girls wanted chicken nuggets, and my BK2 wanted to slice something, so, here we go.

2 breasts, 1 BK2, and my girls picked out the cutting board, so don't start. :D

"Nuggeted" (is that real word? Oh well) chicken while the deep fryer is warming up

It chops, slices, dices, and makes julian fries!! Well it does. The final product.

Good evening to you all. Moose

I'll be sure to show that post to my kids tomorrow. Especially my little girls always like ' another knife '.. blah blah...

Thanks moose... even special ordered ranch vs ketchup .....

BTW, that BK2 is sweet, what kind of handles you got there.?????

Micarta. Hand stained. I have VERY oily and acidic hands, so it darkens everything I touch. Thats why I swear by Ballistol, its safe to eat, and it has a natural PH balancer that neutralizes my acidic fingerprints. Moose

I've been thinking about stripping my BK-2 down, but I have wondered how it would look with the tan micarta handle scales. I'm thinking a little more seriously about it, having seen yours. It looks awesome. I love the BK-2.

Strip it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I betcha it would cut like crazy then.. I know my stripped Izula does, outcuts all my coated blades even my other Izula and I sharpen them all the same..

I think I'm now on the fence of actually loathing coated blades...

Coating on a blade has a job to do. If you find another way to do the job better, go that way. I use Ballistol (mineral oil), for me it works better than a coating, because if you are say batoning wood, a little spritz for lube acutally makes the blade work better. Just an opinion, but it seems to work for me. Oh, and ballistol is safe for ingestion, so, I can use my Beckers in the kitchen without worrying about it. Moose
