Kiwi 4: Have I finally found my perfect EDC?

I've carried a knife daily for over 40 years, including several Spydercos, but my new Kiwi 4 may be the final stop on this journey. Never thought anything would top my beloved SS Dragonfly, but Spyderco has managed it.

Ergonomically, the Kiwi 4 fits my hand like it was custom-fitted for me; better than any other knife I've ever owned. Its lines are clean and slim and it is lightweight and scarcely noticeable in my pocket.

I do wish it came with a black clip, but that's nitpicking. I'm kinda hoping a version in carbon fiber might come along someday; it's so hi-tech looking that carbon fiber just seems like a logical evolution. And supersteels... *drool*

Thanks, Mr. Glesser. You've made me a very happy knife owner. :D

Congrats! You might want to contact spyderco to order a black wire clip to replace the stock one that came with it. One of the sages had a black wire clip you can use. I think it's the sage 3.

Sir, if you have to ask...then...maybe not, as Spyderco is bound to come out soon with another, even nicer...Kiwi 5? But, it's a great knife, and I'm glad that you are so pleased with it.
That grip shape surely indicates that it will lock into your hand just great. Your Kiwi 4 is a super-knife, and is really nice that Spyderco produces it with a blade-length of just a hair less than 3", so as to make it legal in "most" states and jurisdictions. That blade-length shows that Spyderco LISTENS to customers, and does wonders for sales.

I also love the Kiwi4, and it's been in my pocket daily since I got it. I love the size and the narrow dimensions when compared to some other Spydies. Between the Dragonfly, Chap and Kiwi, it's going to be tough to NOT carry a Spyderco.

I seriously considered a Chaparral as my new EDC but I love Wharncliffe blades so I snagged the Kiwi instead.

A new Dragonfly as a backup might still be somewhere in my future, but for now the Kiwi is it. I like its ergonomics so much I'm considering getting a custom fixed--blade version.

Go check out the crkt minimalist. Sounds like that would be something youd like.
