Just won one on ebay.
So a question for you guys that have one.
Is a clip for a Toad small enough to install on the Kiwi?

Ok, just pulled the clip off my Toad, tried it against a Kiwi, here's the deal.

Length is not really a problem, although the shorter clip from a Pegasus might work better (Toad clip is 2 1/4", Pegasus 2 1/8").

The major problems are width (which is more of a problem if its jigged bone than if it is a stainless) and the fact that the scales/bolsters of a Kiwi are not flat. So first you have to file or mill a flat on the bolster. Next problem, if it's a bone Kiwi, is that the lock pivot pin protrudes above the bone. You might be able to grind this down flush, if so then the clip could be installed without modification, otherwise, in order to clear the pin you would either have to thin the clip, or live with the fact that it was higher than the scale.

They say a picture is worth 1000 words so, maybe the attached will be more help than my ramblings.

Just thought about it.Today is my birthday so I guess it was only right to buy a new knife.;)

I see what you mean.I was thinking that a Toad clip would be much smaller.I will find a clip of some kind that will work. The rounded bolster shouldn't be a problem if I bend the clip to match the bolster.

Well I'm an ardent Kiwi fan and while I have no intentions of putting a clip on any of mine I'd sure like to see how it turns out if you decide to go ahead with it.

I thought of that too (bending the clip), the downside is then you have to angle the screw holes, otherwise the heads are not going to sit flat on the clip.

Might just forget about the clip and wait on the Kopa.

I don't belive the taping of screw holes would be as hard to do as finding the right clip.

I don't know why you'd even want to!!! Think about what it will do to the aesthetics and ergonomics of the knife. Better without.

The CF Delica clip might be an acceptable fit. 2 1/4" long but only 5/16" at the widest - much smaller than the standard L/R reversible clips. The 3 screw hole wrap around the lanyard hole rather than in a straight line across the clip or handle

Thanks, did you get the email I sent you?If not email me.
