i'd take heads & hands off to protect my family as well.. cool story, good to see the ole guy still had that killer instinct intact.
 
My first thought was:
What kind of idiot threatens someone with a butterknife!?
Second thought:
Out of all the different kitchen knife patterns, the old guy picked the pattern closest to a fighting knife!
 
Well, I'll be darned, a real knife fight. Of course, he had to wait 90 years, but at least this one is documented.

Had he done this (the adam's apple thing) he'd probably get sentenced for it too! It's a shame that people can get away with invading someone home and when they get hurt they can go whining to the court, usually even winning such a case. At least that's what it's like here in Belgium. I say if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen !
