Kizer 2018 Catalog for Download

A few good looking new knives (the Basalt especially) but what's with the million prybars like it's 2015 all over again?

Edit: Kizer should seriously consider dropping the baseball bat trinket as a custom maker JBB Knives (Brad Blount) has a nearly identical one he makes. Kizer has done well avoiding controversy so far so hopefully they figure this situation out.

1095 camp knives, interesting. Will be watching to see what the sheaths are about. Hopefully better than the T2.

Have been watching Elijah Isham's instagram after the WE "Eschaton". The "Theta" looks great.

He has the Theta with Kizer and the Zeta with WE - it could get confusing.....

He could do a range of Pi, Phi, Chi, Psi knives as well. LOL

LOL. Thanks for the comparison photos True Talon. The similarities are apparent. Even without branding, the Theta looks like Kizer and the Zeta like WE.

Hopefully the Theta is GTG in terms of action without a flipper tab. The opening in the blade looks well chamfered. If it flies open with a middle finger flick from underneath, like I think it might, it's going to be in my collection.

The single spacer screw tucked into the point on the presentation side is a nice touch, as well as the three in line at the clip on the lockbar side. No lanyard hole, great blade shape - a lot to like IMO.

I'm curious about that one too... a heavily chamfered opening hole sometimes makes it more difficult to use with a thumb. It does have Elijah's sort of signature tiny flipper tab that is created from the tang of the blade being exposed at a 90 degree angle. Has to be set up very well to flip decently with such a tiny flipper tab.

I was talking to Elijah Isham on Instagram about the Theta and he said the production model will have a bigger blade cutout and the handle will be slightly darker.

Yes the Basalt looks sweet, and I'm also glad to see a Vanguard version of the Sheepdog.

It looks like it has a very high and forward flipper, like the eschaton and zeta, which sits flush with the frame when open. I'm in for one regardless.

You're right - "micro flipper tab".

Found a quick video on "ishambladeworks" Instagram of the Theta's action.

Third finger flick is GTG. Hopefully the production Theta fires like that.

The "pseudo" finger choil grip is interesting as well.
