Kizer Anodizing?

I have a smaller Kizer folder that I almost sold because it is more pretty than I normally carry. I have diced to keep it, but I want to know if the anodizing holds up ok. I know any Cartier knife will scratch, but I would like to carry it clipped to my pocket for easy access instead of always having it in a Benchmade microfiber bag.

The anodizing finish should be fine as long as you're not scraping it against rivets, metal, etc. My flame heat colored titanium knives have kept their finish after several years. But even if the finish was scratched up, I don't worry about it too much as I see knives as tools.

I guess I could try to remember to keep my keys in another pocket. I know knives are tools, but a part of me always hates to scuff a nice finish.

As tokerblue said, anodizing is pretty tough. Keep it away from hard materials and you won't have a problem. If it helps at all, I usually keep my wallet and keys in my left front pocket, knife in my right front, phone in my back right pocket, and pen in my back left. Took a little getting used to, but I don't have any trouble with damage to my knives now, even the bead blasted CRKs that show wear if you look at them sideways. It works for me, but your mileage may vary.

Three months of carry and use.

Basically flawless. There was a mark in the anno near the pivot that happened while adjusting the pivot.

Aye, I only sold it because it was tip-down only and that was getting old fast. I used to carry two knives, so that knife would go in my back right pocket which put the blade right up against the seam of my pocket. When I decided I was being silly by carrying two knives, I sold all of my butt-pocket tip-down knives.

It was smoother than the Sebenza I carried it with, locked up just as tight, and had the same blade steel. Plus, the pictures don't do it justice - their anodizing is KILLER.

I have a larger Kizer with one titanium and a G10 scale. The knife is light, flips super smooth, and locks perfectly. If it were tip up, it would be absolutely perfect. At least my little anodized Kizer is tip up.:)
