I was recently watching CBRx video about the DropBear on YouTube. He noted some perpendicular scratches on the tang where the crossbar meets the tang of the blade. In his video the lock failed the test he performed. So I checked my knives from Kizer a Sheepdog C01C and a Kizer OEM oKnife. The sheepdog has the same scratches but the OEM knife does not. This is leading me to believe that Kizer has issues with their crossbars lockup, and this is a poor/corner cutting attempt to fix the issue. I am curious if anyone else notices this and if we can get Kizer back to being a respectable brand (in my mind).

So please check your knifes and let me know if you see this on Kizer or any other brand. Thank you.

I haven't seen any scratches on my Mini Mystic, but I didn't really look. I like the feel of the Kizer in terms of how it opens and closes, but it's not a very strong cross bar/Axis lock. Mine fails a very minimal spine whack...not that a spine whack is a legitimate test. Just saying. It's slipped it's lock.
