I've been looking at the Kizer collection and their model Ki4421A1 catches my attention. I'm just curious, since they are a great deal, hasn't purchased that model since it has ball bearings and priced at $100. I just see everyone talking about the Dorado knife but does anyone here on the forums have it?

Thanks

A bit confused as to what you are asking. I just got the 4423 today, which is on bearings. Phenomenal knife. See my post from earlier today. It was easily worth the money.

While I do not have the particular model in which you are interested, I have handled or owned 4 different models from Kizer. All of them had excellent fit and finish, and those on bearings were even more enjoyable than the washers. If you are interested in Ki4421A1, I would go ahead and pick one up. I'd be very surprised if it wasn't also an excellent knife; especially for the money.

I have this very knife. In another post I described it as being one of the smoothest flippers I own. Unfortunately, it's been kicked out of my pocket by a few knives that I just enjoy more aesthetically.

For the price you can't go wrong with Kizer. At last count I'm up to 10 Kizers and I've never regretted a purchase. Take the plunge, I'll bet you'll be glad you did!

I was wondering if anyone owns the Ki4421A1; that was my question that was answered by the other comments.

Do you have any pictures of the knife on the forum? The best I could find online was on a Russian knife site and I read your post about the knife being extremely smooth. I was curious if it was truly on ball-bearings because on youtube the guy opening it did a little bit of wrist action to open it which I thought was odd.

Pics are also available at Blade HQ. :)

I meant personal pictures of people that own the knife. Thanks for posting a picture I've been staring at. The best pictures I found were on a Russian website, I don't know if forum rules allow me posting the site name.

I think you can post the name, but you can't link to it. What exactly is it that you're trying to figure out that the pics aren't telling you?

I wish I could make and post a video of it flipping. I can hold the knife vertically, tip down, and flip the flipper with a kind of "light switch" flip and the blade deploys smoothly and locks into place. I have noticed if you use more of a "push down" technique on the flipper the deployment is a little more sluggish. Maybe the guy on YouTube wasn't using the best method?

It appears to have caged bearings, but it's a little hard to be certain without taking the knife apart.

BTW, I actually have the Ki4421A2. It's the same knife but different color.

I think when funds become available I'll add this to my collection. Thank you for your input.
