Kizer Feist owners, any unstable lock issues?

Fellow Feist owners,

My Feist (probably the 1st gen) operates very nicely and locks up at about 50% without any lock stick most of the time.
But occasionally, the lock engages prematurely at 5~10% with some light lock stick.
It behaves like this for several consecutive operations and goes back to normal.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I tightened down the pivot tight, and there is no blade play opened or closed.
Since it has the moving stop pin, I suspect that pocket lint or something interferes its motion.

Let me know.

Never had thisnissue with mine. That is very unusual. It is odd that the knife is experiencing lockstick when it is locking up earlier than usual. I have heard of locks sticking when they lock up later than usual from a very forceful opening.

You could try to clean out the stop pin tracks. I can’t imagine what would make the lock lockup earlier than usual sometimes

My dad and I both have one never had a problem. It did take a while before I got the hang of flipping it open..

I cleaned the stop pin track with a file.
Since then this phenomenon has not happened.
I guess It was a small metal piece stuck between the stop pin and the end of the track, which probably pushed the blade toward the closed position a bit.

So you are no longer having this issue?
