Hey guys I thought I would bring you a look at the new Kizer Kane. It's a big part of Kizer Knives 2015 lineup. Kizer has really gone out and gotten to work on making some top notch collaborations with some great American designers & makers. Their 2015 lineup should be and will be amazing with some wonderful offerings. They really have combined top quality materials with excellent craftsmanship , and now as I said have begun some major projects in the works from these partnerships they have created. I can't wait to see what they offer next. I will try to bring you information as I get it along with some first looks at upcoming knives from Kizer.
The Kizer Kane is from Matt Degnan's Kane xl design. We all know Matt's great work , so now Kizer has brought it to us in a production form that is top notch.
The Kizer Kane is 9.23'' OAL with a 3.8'' blade made from S35vn steel with a nice robust thickness in the blade. The blade has a satin finish with a hollow grind and is a harpoon style drop point. The handle scales are smooth bead blasted titanium scales that are very nice. I like this offering on this knife as well as many others that Kizer has brought to us here lately. The plain bead blasted titanium scales gives us a chance to do some personal customizing ourselves. There are several guys out there that have done some cool things with these new Kizer offerings that almost bring them to a mid-tech grade. The new colors and pattern designs with some nice detailed engravings that I have seen on these knives. The Kizer Kane is put together with custom anodized titanium hardware and a double stand-off open frame design. To me it gives this beast a beauty look with the open frame and custom hardware. It also comes with a reversible anodized blue titanium pocket clip. The frame lock also has a stainless steel insert to give it a very solid lock-up. It also has a hidden over-travel protector to secure the frame. The big thick blade flips out super smooth thanks to the Kizer Kane's ceramic bearings captured inside the custom pivot. This is an over-built beast with a gorgeous look. The collaboration made here by Kizer & Matt Degnan is a superb one, that has brought us a great, powerful, and beautiful knife. Please stay tuned and I will try to bring more info when I can along with pics if possible. thank you for your time & interest.
