Kizer Minitherium or WE Roxi

I don't have either knife but here are some random observations:

The WE will probably be a better made knife in terms of action and fit/finish. Kizer is a definite step below the quality of WE Knife Company.

That being said, I prefer the look and "expected" ergos of the Minitherium. I have a few other Isham knives and although they may look a little weird, they fit well in the human hand.

Looking at the Roxi's stats; Holy Medford, Batman! a 2.6" long blade that's 0.16" thick! High flat grind with a crud groove! I don't care for the Roxi blade at all. I don't expect it will be particularly good at cutting things either. The Minitherium looks to be way more slicey.

The Roxi looks kind of like a pocket brick. It's almost a full ounce heavier than the Minitherium while being 3/4" shorter in OAL. Nearly 4 ounces with just a bit over 2.5" of blade? Ouch.

I'm not really sure about the clip on the Roxi. There's not much room under it for Jeans or heavier pants. I have a similar clip as the Minitherium on a Blackstar and it's good for lighter weight pants but struggles with jeans. Neither clip looks to have much ramp, but that's what you tend to get with milled clips. The cutouts on the Roxi clip might create a hot spot?

Based on experience with other WEs and Kizers, I'd expect the Roxi to have better action. I bet that heavy, chunky blade will fly out with authority. Kizer tends to have a problem with weak detents.

For me, if I had to choose one, I'd go with the Minitherium. The Roxi looks like a knife I'd never carry; too heavy, too clunky, too unwieldy at basic knife tasks. I might be way off though. I'm making these observations from pictures only.

We all look for different things in knives. What might work for me won't necessarily work for you. Good luck with your decision and let us know which way you decide to go!
